Long a hub for Latin Americans, Miami is now attracting newcomers from across the Atlantic: affluent Turkish home buyers looking for stable investments in real estate.

In the past two years, Turkish buyers have set their sights on Miami’s condo developments, purchasing large properties for use as second or third homes. Overall, luxury-condo developers are seeing about 5% of preconstruction inventory sold to buyers from Turkey, according to developers.

Penthouse sells for 16.5 Million

The highest penthouse at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Sunny Isles Beach has been aquired for $16.5 million, with the unit encompassing the entire 52nd floor, becoming the third of five penthouses to go under contract.

The two units below on the 51st floor solf for a combined $21 million to one buyer.

The top-floor unit in the tower developed by fortune International Group and Chateau Group is 6,320 square feet, with four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 15-foot ceilings and a 2,095-square-foot terrace with a summer kitchen, private garden, infinity pool and sensational views of the Intracoastal and Atlantic Ocean.

Construction is about to begin another 649-foot tower in Sunny Isles.

Chateau Group and Fortune International will break ground in June on the 212-unit Ritz-Carlton Residences tower in Sunny Isles beach, they told the Herald.
